BSNL Launches Unlimited Calling & Data Plans at Rs. 149/-; Vodafone Offers Unlimited Calling For Post-Paid Users

It seems that the era of unlimited calling along with bundled internet packages is finally becoming a norm in Indian telecom circles. And the catalyst here is clearly Reliance Jio, which introduced this concept and made it a rule, rather than an exception.
Both BSNL and Vodafone have launched newer plans which provide the same: unlimited calling along with free internet for both 3G and 4G users. However, there are some minor differences in both of these plans.

BSNL’s Newest Offer For New Users

In a statement, BSNL launched new plans for new pre-paid users, wherein they get 30 minutes of free calls to any mobile number in India, by paying only Rs 149. Besides, 300 MB of data woud also be provided to users of this new plan. Hence, total 900 minutes of calling would be free, for Rs 149 in a month. However, for some unknown reasons, 30 mins per day is the limit.
Besides, under another plan, BSNL is providing free 3 months of unlimited calling for pre-paid users if they pay a lumpsum amount of Rs 439. Now, per month expense under this plan would be Rs 146, but instead of 30 minutes per day free calling, this plan would provide 3 months of unlimited calling.

Vodafone’s New Plan With Unlimited Calling

Meanwhile, not to be left behind, Vodafone has launched another set of new plans under the Vodafone Red bouquet of plans. Note here, that these new plans are for post-paid users only.
These new plans are: Rs 1699 and Rs 1999 respectively and contains the best of the advantages of bundled plans, including both voice and data for heavy users.
Under Rs 1699 plan, the user gets unlimited voice calls on home network (Vodafone to Vodafone), 100 SMS, 20 GB of data for 4G users and 16 GB for non-4G users, along with free roaming on home network. Under Rs 1999 plan, the user gets all the features along with 24 GB of bundled data for 4G users and 20 GB for non-4G users.
For heavier users, Vodafone has also launched a special Rs 2999 plan, under which users can get 40 GB of bundled data for 4G devices and 30 GB for non-4G devices. However, this special plan is only available in some circles (Mumbai, for example)
